Working in collaboration with MR. MITCHELL interiors, this apartment was completely redesigned and re imagined as a 6 star hotel. In it’s idyllic location on the Port Melbourne waterfront, the property is enveloped by sweeping city views to the north and extensive water views to the south. Flooded with natural light and situated on the 8th floor, this property has the sense of a luxury penthouse with a relaxed beachside aspect.
The brief was to create a sense of space and timeless elegance which optimised the picturesque views beyond. Downsizing from a rural property, maximizing storage and ensuring functionality were key aspects considered in the redesigned layout of this apartment. The intricate interior details transform this apartment into a hotel-like environment with custom curved battened joinery and a layering of rich, textural materials.
